AssessMD Assessments

Adult Pain Inventory Assessment

In order to help clinicians rapidly identify Substance Use Disorder in patients taking pain medication, AssessMD has created the Adult Pain Inventory Assessment. This is a fully automated progressive, layered and randomized test with multiple possible measures.

Patients will receive an AssessMD Substance Use Disorder score that can be used to assess a patient’s level of addiction to pain medication and track the effectiveness of treatment over time. The assessment will also automatically launch an Adult Major Depressive Disorder Assessment if a patient responds positively to any of the trigger questions.

For Use Alone or in Combination with the Following Tests for Differential Diagnosis
  • AssessMD Adult Major Depressive Disorder Assessment (will automatically launch if it is triggered)

Unlike any other Substance Use Disorder or Pain Inventory tool, the test utilizes the Symptom Level Determination Software engine (SLDS) to calculate the test results as the patient is completing the AssessMD Adult Pain Inventory Assessment. Patients who are determined, by SLDS, not to meet testing criteria for Substance Use Disorder stop after just 17 questions minimizing the time spent on testing. Other patients whose scores warrant further testing will be prompted to complete additional questions. Patients meeting the diagnostic criteria for Substance Use Disorder based on test responses will be instructed to complete the entire 27-question test. An Adult Major Depressive Disorder Assessment will automatically launch if a patient responds positively to any of the depression trigger questions.
