AssessMD Assessments

Adult Master Assessment

AssessMD is committed to making available the most robust cutting edge tools to address the growing problem of mental health. AssessMD understands that by identifying these conditions in patients a significant impact can be made on their lives. Depression, for example, is one of the most treatable illnesses. With appropriate treatment, 80-90% find relief.

AssessMD Adult Master Assessment has been designed to assist the clinician in evaluating patients for some of the most common adult mental conditions.

Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is currently the world’s 3rd most common health problem, expected to be the most common by 2030, and is the leading cause of disability in the US. The AssessMD Adult Master Assessment utilizes questions from the AssessMD Major Depressive Disorder Questionnaire to test patients for MDD.

In addition, patients completing the AssessMD Adult Master Assessment will be tested for Bipolar Disorder, which affects at least 6 million Americans.

AssessMD understands approximately 10% of children are diagnosed with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and studies show as many as 70% continue to have ADHD symptoms as adults. Consequently, AssessMD elected to include an evaluation for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder in the AssessMD Adult Master Assessment.

Realizing one out of every 68 people, approximately 4 million Americans, have Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), AssessMD has included an evaluation for GAD in the Adult Master Assessment.

Finally, recognizing that 70% of adults in the U.S. have experienced some type of traumatic event at least once in their lives and up to 20%, more than 31 million Americans, go on to develop Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), The AssessMD Adult Master Assessment will analyze patient responses for the possibility of PTSD.

AssessMD realizes the important impact of identifying comorbid conditions when considering overall patient treatment outcomes. All chronic disease conveys an increased morbidity and mortality when present with Major Depressive Disorder as a comorbidity. Additionally, it is well understood that there is an overlap of symptoms in many mental disorders. Therefore, AssessMD Adult Master Assessment was designed to help the clinician tease apart these symptoms and accurately identify common comorbidities when attempting to arrive at a diagnosis and treatment plan.
